Soap Berries grew along the gravelly river
beds and in the mountain tundra meadows. They were
easy to identify. They grew to be about 1-3 feet high,
had dark green oval leaves, and bright red oval berries.
Bears love the taste of Soap Berries but to me they tasted a
little bland and were waxy. They gave off a really fresh
smell when crushed or stepped on.
