• Is the reason for writing is clear you you and everyone else.
• Did you establish a clear purpose and then maintain it  throughout the piece?

• Are your ideas and information are written in a logical sequence?
• Did you clearly relate your ideas and images to each other?

•  Did you fully create your ideas and information with details?
• Did your details make you want to read the writing by elaborating with stories, opinions, personal experiences... 

•  How much of you is in your writing?
• Did you create emotion in your writing?
• Is your paper funny, sad, serious... when it should be?

•  Did you use proper grammar (sentence structure?)
• Did you check for proper usage (agreement and word choice?)
• Did you check your spelling, capitalization, and punctuation?
